Marc Whitlock serves as the band director for Discovery Middle School in the Plymouth-Canton school district in Canton, Michigan. Most recently he was the Director of Bands at the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park. Under his direction, the band program was a selected performer at the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, a perennial finalist at the Bands of America national marching band championships and was the Michigan state champion for marching band each and every year.

Mr. Whitlock has also served as the Director of Bands at Hebron High School in Carrollton, Texas and was formerly on the faculty at Marian Catholic High School were he served as the Associate Director of Bands and the Percussion Director.

Marc was formerly the brass manager for the Tony and Emmy award winning Broadway production of BLAST! and has been actively involved in the drum corps activity since 1980. He has been in demand as a specialist/clinician for many corps, such as the Blue Stars, Cadets, Carolina Crown, Cavaliers, Phantom Regiment, Santa Clara Vanguard, and the Star of Indiana.

Mr. Whitlock has performed as a clinician, adjudicator, visual designer, percussion designer, wind arranger, and/or music instructor in forty states and Europe, and is also an adjudicator for Bands of America/Music For All.
