The Explorer Fund (TEF) is an independently governed, single purpose endowment program dedicated to the long-term financial health of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps of Madison, Wisconsin.

The Explorer Fund was founded in June 2007 with initial contributions from various alumni, volunteers and other friends of the Madison Scouts.   During its first four months of organization, the TEF received contributions from Founders and Donors amounting to nearly $85,000 in pledges and $25,000 in new cash resources for the Madison Scouts.   The effort continues as an ongoing program.

Our Vision

We envision a Madison Scouts organization that is financially stable and enabled to continue delivering on its 70-year-legacy of service to youth who provide on-field performances that are of championship caliber and pride to the city of Madison.

The Explorer Fund is a trust organization governed by a Board of Trustees that is separate from, as well as independent and supportive of the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Association (MDBCA).
